RAVeM (stands for Records of Alien Vertebrates in Mountains) is a project that compiles and integrates data from different sources (point data from DASCO dataset + IUCN and Birdlife International species ranges + mountain boundaries from the Global Mountain Inventory) to consolidate the first large scale database on occurrence points of alien fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals documented in mountain ranges of the World.
The project makes available as main input a clean dataset of point data with associated info on species taxonomy and characteristics of the mountains where the records were document. This is complemented by the workflow (provided in this website) and developed to create this dataset and a shiny app for interactive visualization.
